15/9/2008Juniors stung by Rose
Bo'ness United's winning start to the season was ended on Saturday as they went down 2-1 at Linlithgow Rose in their East Region Super League clash.
Rose took the lead in 25 minutes through Kenny Waugh, before Bo'ness got themselves back into the game with a much improved second-half performance which was rewarded just after the hour mark when Colin Allison was on hand to score from close range.
However it wasn't to be for 'Ness, and nine minutes from time Rose claimed all three points when ex-Bo'ness man Gordon Herd was brought down in the area, and Mark Bradley converted from the spot to put Rose top of the table along with Bonyrigg.
Next Saturday United will look to get back on track when they travel to face Bathgate Thistle in the Super League
